As far as I know, this is the only soundtrack recording of Ziegfeld Girl on CD. The sound quality is reasonably good, though the CD was apparently mastered from a film print since there are dialog segments included with the music. And, the research that went into the track listing is amazing - did you know "Till the Clouds Roll By" (J. Kern) was in For Me and My Gal? Ha ha. They also have the track numbers wrong, so I've included the correct track numbers in brackets [ ]. If it's For Me and My Gal you're after, buy the Rhino version () instead. However, the disk is definitely worth buying for Ziegfeld Girl since it's all there is! [JJ]
