The Barkleys of Broadway

(MGM, 1949) Intended as the second pairing of Judy and Fred Astaire, Judy was originally cast as Dinah Barkley, but Ginger Rogers played the part. Judy did no pre-recording or filming. Film review on Class Act.

Annie Get Your Gun

(MGM, 1950) Judy was originally cast as Annie Oakley, but she was replaced by Betty Hutton. Judy pre-recorded all songs and completed filming of two musical numbers.

Royal Wedding

(MGM, 1951) Judy was originally cast as Ellen Bowen, but Jane Powell played the part. Judy did no pre-recording or filming. Film review on Class Act.

Harlow

(Electronovison, 1965) Judy was originally cast as Jean Harlow's mother in this biopic starring Carol Lynley, but was replaced by Ginger Rogers. Judy did no pre-recording or filming.

Valley of the Dolls

(Red Lion / Fox, 1967) Judy was originally cast as Helen Lawson, but replaced by Susan Hayward. Judy pre-recorded one song.
