Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland
(And How They Got into the Movies)
by Edward I. Gruskin
Whitman Publishing, 1941
"Big Little Book", 3.75" x 4.5" hard cover, 425pp.)
This is probably the first book-length Judy Garland biography ever published! It's a Whitman "Big Little Book", and it contains the full story (fact or fiction) of Mickey and Judy together at MGM,
Mickey's biography and Judy's biography. Fun reading, and richly illustrated with lots of drawings (many of photos we now collect). This book is a real collector's item, and I hope someday to have
the time to transcribe the full text onto the database so that all Judy fans will have a chance to read what was written about her at the height of her popularity.
