Original MGM movie still photo from the "Lady MacBeth" scene.
The caption on the back reads:
WITH APOLOGIES TO SHAKESPEARE...Judy Garland plays the sleep walking scene from "MacBeth" in an effort to convince a visiting producer that she has great abilities as an actress, in a scene from her new picture, "Presenting Lily Mars." As Lady MacBeth Judy fails to impress the producer, played by Van Heflin, but as Lily Mars she wins the hearts of audiences everywhere in the picture which depicts the adventures of a stage-struck small town girl. Norman Taurog was director and Joe Pasternak producer for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
"Out damned spot, out I say! What, will these hands never be clean? Ah - no, no, no. All the perfumes of Araby will not sweeten this little hand." Screams Judy with all the emotion which, as Lily Mars, she imagined went with these famous lines.
